Andrea M. Lopez, MA
Andrea Lopez, MA, is doctoral student from the Department of Anthropology. She grew up along the United States/Mexico border, in El Paso, Texas, and completed her bachelor of arts degree in anthropology at San Francisco State University, with a focus on urban anthropology and substance use. In 2007, she received a master’s degree in anthropology from the University of New Mexico. Her broad research areas include: medical anthropology, urban anthropology, community-based participatory research methods, public health, HIV/AIDS, substance use, health inequities, and gender and health.
